Author Guidelines

The International Innovations Journal of Applied Science (IIJAS) is an international, double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Scientific Events Gate – Malaysia.
The journal provides an advanced platform for the publication of original research articles, review papers, and case studies in all areas of applied sciences and technology. It is committed to promoting research excellence, innovation, and ethical scientific practices among scholars and researchers worldwide.

The journal welcomes original and unpublished works that are not under review elsewhere.


1. Submission Guidelines

Language:
Manuscripts may be submitted in Malay, English or Arabic.
For Arabic manuscripts, the title and abstract must also be provided in English.

Originality:
All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
Authors are required to submit a signed declaration of originality with their manuscript.

Submission Platform:
All manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the online submission system:

File Format:
Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). PDF files are not accepted.

Similarity Report:
A plagiarism report (Turnitin or equivalent) must be attached, showing a similarity index of less than 20%.

Suggested Reviewers:
Authors must recommend at least three (3) potential reviewers with relevant expertise, providing their full names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses.


2. Manuscript Preparation

Authors must strictly follow the official IIJAS Template available on the journal’s website.
The manuscript should include the following sections:

  • Title (font size 16, bold, centered)

  • Author(s)’ Name, Affiliation, and ORCID (font size 12, bold)

  • Abstract (150–250 words) summarizing the purpose, methodology, results, and implications

  • Keywords: 3–5 words

  • Introduction (including research background, objectives, and significance)

  • Materials and Methods

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgment (if applicable)

  • Conflict of Interest Declaration

  • References (APA 7th Edition)

Formatting Requirements:

  • Font manuscripts: Times New Roman, font size 12, single spacing.

  • Page numbers must appear on all pages.
    Footnotes and endnotes are not allowed.
    Arabic references must be Romanized and accompanied by the original Arabic list for verification.


3. Funding and Acknowledgment

Authors must clearly indicate any funding sources in the acknowledgment section, for example:

“This research was funded by [Funding Name] (Grant No. XXXXX).”

Contributors who are not listed as co-authors should also be acknowledged.


4. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review by at least two independent reviewers.
In cases of conflicting recommendations, a third reviewer will be assigned.
Authors must submit revisions within ten (10) days after receiving reviewer comments.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that fail to meet academic, ethical, or formatting standards.


5. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain full copyright for their published articles.
All publications are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0),
which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

6. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their research results or interpretations.
If no conflict exists, the following statement should be included:

“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”


7. Proofreading and Production

After acceptance, manuscripts will undergo technical and linguistic editing before publication.
Authors will receive galley proofs and must return corrections within 48 hours.
Failure to respond on time may delay the publication process.


8. Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

Requests to withdraw a manuscript must be formally submitted to the editorial office with clear justification.
Withdrawals after acceptance are strongly discouraged and require editorial approval.
Article retractions follow the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.


9. Archiving and Indexing

The IIJAS uses the PKP Private LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to ensure permanent digital preservation and access.
The journal complies with Sherpa Romeo archiving standards.
